In addition to our services for surgical reconstruction, we are able to offer Cone Beam CT scanning for assessment of the sinuses and airway, middle ear and cochlea.

Sinuses

CBCT scanning of the sinuses requires a much lower dose than conventional CT, and can be localised to just one sinus, or the entire system, (although for detailed evaluation of the soft tissue high-dose CT or MRI is more appropriate).

Airway

CBCT provides a much lower dose modality for the assessment of the airway e.g. for snorers or sleep apnoea sufferers.

Ear

CBCT is widely used for pre and post-operative assessment of the middle ear. The low dose and exceptional resolution, down to 0.04mm, an order of magnitude finer than that of conventional CT, makes CBCT particularly exciting for imaging the cochlea.
